Perfumer
Tianle Feng grew up in his father’s fragrance lab in China, and in 2019 he founded his own house, Voice From The Sky. For Jijide he made Talea, a perfume about the white chrysanthemum.
He was born into a family of perfumers. His father was among the first professionally trained perfumers in China, and Tianle spent much of his childhood in his lab. He studied perfumery at ISIPCA in France. Back in China, he took over the fragrance company his father had founded and started his own house. Talea is part of Jijide’s Conversations collection. Students at the Italian Perfumery Institute came up with the idea, and he made the perfume.
He says perfumery brings joy to both his work and his life. He uses scent to record life’s ups and downs and hopes to bring people a little comfort. Making a perfume isn’t the hard part, he says. The hard part is working out what he really wants to say. He made Tough Berry, a 2026 strawberry perfume, for his second daughter, whose favourite fruit is strawberry. Talea is floral and warm, with white chrysanthemum and osmanthus.
